What's new
Every update is free for everyone who bought Murmur. From 1.1 on, Murmur installs them for you.
1.1.1 · November 2026
- No more crash loop after a macOS update. If loading a speech model crashes (macOS's Neural Engine compiler can), Murmur recovers on the next launch instead of crashing again.
- AirPods switching mid-call no longer stops dictation or meeting notes.
- Steadier lists. Deleting a note, snippet or replacement while you're typing in it no longer crashes Murmur.
- Shows the current price and launch offer.

- Meeting notes, with no bot. When Zoom, Google Meet, Teams, FaceTime or Slack starts a call, the notch asks whether to take notes (or press ⌃⌥M any time). Your microphone and the call are recorded as two tracks on your Mac. When the call ends you get a transcript that shows who said what, action items with owners, decisions and a short summary.
- A notes panel nobody else sees. Follow the conversation, mark a moment (⌃⌥B) and type your own notes; they go into the summary. If you share your screen, share a single window and the panel stays out of view.
- Speak any language. Pick the languages you speak and Murmur hears which one you use each time, including Azerbaijani, Turkish, Russian and dozens more.
- New speech models. Parakeet, the fastest and most accurate for English and 25 European languages, and Whisper for 99 languages. Apple's built-in model is still there and needs no download.
- Light mode, with a System / Light / Dark setting.
- A new welcome that sets up your languages and downloads your model while you carry on.
- Automatic updates. A dot on the menu bar icon means a new version is ready; installing is one click and keeps your settings.

- Hold right ⌘, talk, let go: your words are typed wherever the cursor is, cleaned up on your Mac.
- Edit with AI: select text, hold right ⌥ and say what to change.
- Styles per app, snippets, a custom dictionary, history and stats.
